It is kind of sad when your kids have to find out for themselves that friends aren't really their friends. We have been trying to tell our 9 year old that a little boy he sometimes plays with has just been using him.
The little boy invited him to his birthday party this week. Our son knows that the boy likes Bakugan. He had me pick out a certain kind at the store since he wanted to get him a special one. The next day the boy came to the house and asked if our son could play but he was gone. Some kids trade these kind of like they do the Pokemon cards.
This is a Bakugan in case you are wondering. The boy flat out told me that he had traded the Bakugan that my son had given him for his birthday the day before at school that day. When my son got home I recounted the story to him and it made him very upset. He didn't believe me until he talked to the boy the next day at school and found out for himself.
The boy came back to our house yesterday and our son flat out told him he didn't want to play with him. He finally realizes now that the only reason he ever comes over is so he can take what he wants from him. It is sad for kids when they have to find things out for themselves, but it is good when they finally see it for themselves too.

LIfe's lesson always sucks when it comes to standing by and watching it happen to your kids.
gosh this is such a hard age! We have been having some of the same kinds of issues with Aubree this year, but girls are so mean sometimes. It's hard to see them go through this.
Hi Melissa,
I'm glad you got to try a few recipes. A stronger cheese would definitely add more flavor to the Cheesy Yummy Goodness.
I'm glad your husband like the soup. We like it a lot.
I was reading this post and thought the same thing happened to my daughter and her friend. It is sad when they have to find out for themselves.
Have a great weekend.
Kim
I HATE THAT! We had issues with a little girl in our neighborhood. It took my kids YEARS to figure out that she was bad news. She really is.
