I love my 10 year old! He always cracks me up. He is always such a sweet and sensitive kid.
Last night we had put our kids to bed and were watching t.v. My husband and I hear some footsteps coming down the stairs and are wondering what excuse the kids have this time...
He comes down and tells us he has a confession. He got in BIG TROUBLE at school today. Some girl kept calling him a buttmunch and he finally got sick of it and called her a buttmunch back. She went and told the teacher so he got in trouble. The teacher made him apologize to the girl.
He couldn't go to school the next day cause he knows his teacher thinks he is a bad kid now and she hates him for doing something bad.
We told him it would be okay.
I shouldn't be laughing, but as soon as he walked off, my husband and I started laughing our guts out that he thought he was in big trouble. He is such a funny kid.
I am so grateful that I have such a sensitive kid. He is always so worried about being good and how other people will feel.

Son's First Pheasant Hunt
Don't fall over from shock cause I am actually posting. Life has been a little crazy since I got put in the Primary Presidency.

The 2 pheasants he shot
My 10 year old has been taking hunter safety and was promised that if he passed he could go to the pheasant farm with my husband and grandpa on their planned trip.
He worked hard and when we quizzed him for his final test that was the night before the hunting trip, he could quote the book practically word for word. He took his shoot test the Saturday before and knew he had passed.
He passed the written test by only missing 3 questions. He was set to go.
He was up bright and early to go at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and told me he was leaving at 6:00 a.m. even though they weren't leaving until 7:00 a.m. He was ready for his first pheasant hunt that he was carrying a gun too.
He called me at 2:30 p.m. and had bagged his pheasant. He was pretty proud of himself, he even shot it out of the air so he is pretty excited about his prize.

Him with his prize bird
He wants to get it mounted and my husband made the mistake of telling him he could if it was a decent one. I think in his mind anything he shot would be decent.

Son's First Triple
My oldest got his mom's coordination genes and that has not been to his advantage in the sports area.
This year he is in the baseball league where they are being pitched to by other boys.
We work with him batting and catching every night. (He has me for a partner and pitcher which isn't the best.)
He struck out his last 2 games and was feeling very frustrated.
He has a good coach that has helped him and he is improving a lot though.
His game Friday night his grandparent's and his friend came to watch so he was feeling pressured.
He struck out his first time up to bat and was feeling a little down. His second time up he had 2 strikes and one ball, but on the third ball he hit it clear into outfield. He got to first base and realized he could keep going, got to second and noticed the ball still wasn't in and decided to go to third.
I haven't seen him or his coach that excited all season. I wish I would have had my camera that night. He felt pretty proud of himself. It was a good confidence booster for him too. He came home and said,"the coach of the other team was even cheering for me mom."
