Update

FYI this might be long and no pictures. You were warned!

So since it has been so long since I have blogged I decided to restart with an update. I am going to start trying to keep my blog up again if anyone even reads it anymore. If not for my own help in remembering anyway. It has been a very busy and eventful year.
Last May, I had a hysterectomy hoping to help get rid of my migraines. It has been a great miracle in my life to be able to have this surgery. I still have to watch certain food triggers, but for the most part, my migraines are basically gone. I have had 4 in the last year. What a blessing it has been to be able to be a mom and wife again.

A few months after my hysterectomy I was having gall bladder issues and ended up having to have my gall bladder and appendix taken out. It was a year of surgeries for me last year. It has been so nice to have my health back for the first time in 6 years again though too.

My baby went to first grade and I was home alone so I decided to go back to school in January. This is the main reason for the neglect of my blog. It was a big adjustment going back to college after 12 years and with three kids. I ended up making it through my first semester with all of my children still intact and I ended up doing pretty well. I actually ended up getting a 3.7 GPA which I didn't feel that bad about after being away from school for so many years.

I am going to go back and get my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education so I still have about 3 years if everything goes as planned.

All three of my kids being in school is pretty busy, but they love school. Well two out of the three. Tyler will never be into school. He would rather be out playing.

Tyler is going to be playing baseball again this summer and is very excited. He gets to do coach pitch. He has a very good coach that is teaching him the basics. Tyler loves sports and also just started cub scouts.

Don is a scout nut, he is always working on some merit badge. I am working on the cycling merit badge with him this summer. It is fun to see him going crazy over something. He isn't even twelve yet and has already earned almost 40 merit badges. His goal is to earn all 120 merit badges.

Joslyn is just my little girl. She has taken clogging this year and loves it. It is so fun to watch her dance. Other than that, she just wants to play with friends and thinks she will die if she cannot play every single day.

There is a small update, and I am going to try to update more often, at least during summer until I start school again in the fall.

BIG TROUBLE!

I love my 10 year old! He always cracks me up. He is always such a sweet and sensitive kid.

Last night we had put our kids to bed and were watching t.v. My husband and I hear some footsteps coming down the stairs and are wondering what excuse the kids have this time...

He comes down and tells us he has a confession. He got in BIG TROUBLE at school today. Some girl kept calling him a buttmunch and he finally got sick of it and called her a buttmunch back. She went and told the teacher so he got in trouble. The teacher made him apologize to the girl.
He couldn't go to school the next day cause he knows his teacher thinks he is a bad kid now and she hates him for doing something bad.

We told him it would be okay.

I shouldn't be laughing, but as soon as he walked off, my husband and I started laughing our guts out that he thought he was in big trouble. He is such a funny kid.

I am so grateful that I have such a sensitive kid. He is always so worried about being good and how other people will feel.

First Day of School

I have been a blog slacker lately. I didn't even put my kids first day of school pictures up. I must be getting old. I have a first, and fourth grader. Next week my kindergartner will start school. It is kind of crazy to think that I will have a few hours to myself and no kids at home.

1st grader
It is so fun to see my first grader so excited for school. We don't have to drag him out the door to get there. He didn't even like Kindergarten!

4th grader
Of course my 4th grader is ready for school. We had a slight mix up where they had him in all 3 fourth grade classes, but he got in the one we preferred. His teacher seems like she will be great. He has always loved school so I never worry about him.
