Tyler's Baptism

No, I haven't fell off of the face of the earth.

When children in our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) turn 8, they get baptized.

Tyler was baptized on May 7, 2011. He was so excited about this special day. He was able to get baptized on his birthday.  Tyler could not wait to get baptized along with his best friend Sydney and his other friend that we go to church with, Quaid.

We are so proud of his decision to get baptized. Tyler is a special little boy. He loves to look sharp to go to church and is always talking about being a missionary one day.

Kindergarten Graduation and ER Visit

Today was Tyler's Kindergarten graduation. He made it through his first year of school much to his dismay. He does not like school at all. He has a long road ahead of him. He has a great teacher and she has been very good for him.

I was happy that he even sang the songs with his class. Normally he is plugging his ears in the classroom when I am there and they practice.

Later this afternoon, he was riding his bike with my other kids around the block and he crashed on his bike. I think maybe it runs in the family. He decided if he crashed he would make it worth his time though. We ended up going to the ER. It was pretty bad his chin was split open so bad you could see the bone.

The nurses and doctor were very nice and I have never seen him hold still that long in his life.
I will have to post pictures tomorrow. I was in too much of a panic to get any pictures tonight. It was too gross before stitches anyway. He is very brave about the whole thing, I'm sure when that numbing agent wears off he will be complaining some. I am hoping the ibuprofen will stay in his system for long enough to help him rest through most of the night without a lot of pain.

Thankfully this is our first ER visit, and I'm sure not our last. He came home with 11 stitches outside and 2 inside.

My Son in His Birthday Suit

I know what you are thinking and it isn't that one!

It is the new suit that he asked for on his birthday so that he could wear it to church.

I think he looks pretty handsome.

Ty's Birthday #6

Today was my second born's 6th birthday. It is crazy to think that 6 years ago today I was sitting in the hospital having this rascal.
We lived in Las Vegas (not the place I would have chosen)while my husband was going to school. He has been a great addition to our family.
He is always full of life and loves to tease everyone. He is shy around people he doesn't know.
Here are a few birthday pictures from his party today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TY!

Friday Field Trip

a.m. & p.m classes

I went with my son's Kindergarten class on their field trip to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point today. I have never been there before. It is a pretty cool place.
The teacher had us take our child and another child with us. I think I got a whirlwind, not a child. I am not sure but after about 2 minutes I realized this kid was going to be holding my hand, he didn't get to just walk around.

You wouldn't think that after raising three kids it would be that hard to watch after someone else's kid. I was constantly on the move with this kid. Keeping track of him was like following a tornado. One minute I had him in my sight and the next I was searching for him again. I even lost him after I had him on the bus. Luckily, he was with another mom.

This held his attention the longest of anything. It was a sand and water thing they could play in.

By the end of the day I was wishing that this shark would eat this kid up. This is him and my son together before we left. I decided I am glad my children don't act like this, at least with me. I hope they are not like this with other people.

Tyler's Show & Tell

Tyler's Kindergarten class is learning about baby animals and since we have all of ours, he wanted to take one of the puppies to show his class. His teacher said it would be okay so this is him talking about his puppy. I like how he is about dropping him.
