Page Family Reunion 2011

We  have our Page Family Reunion every 4th of July which consists of my husband's 5 siblings. We have 25 grandkids between the ages of 16 and 3 which makes for a lot of noise sometimes, but it is always a ton of fun and my kids cannot wait to play with their cousins each year. It is fun to get together with everyone and all of the kids get along really well.

Grandpa and Grandma did games for the kids, which was a major hit.

Uncle Mark's brother Paul brought his snow cone machine and it was and everyone enjoyed it.

Hope sharing a bite of her snowcone with me. I love her blue lips.

Lance, I love those eyes. I can't  figure out how he got the blue that way. Too cute.

Later that night we played minute to win it with all of the grandkids which was an absolute riot. I think the kids really enjoyed watching each other.

I caught the picture right as the dice fell.

Grandpa had to participate too.

Grandma got very nervous doing this.
The next day the older kids worked on their geocaching merit badge and hid some geocaches. These are the pictures of the kids finding the caches. Overall, I think the kids had a fun time. I know my kids did.

Preston liked our dogs as long as they were tied up.

Family Reunion

We also had my husband's family reunion at the end of the week. My husband had to work so I took the kid's and went up to the cabin for a night. We have 20 kids between all of us, although only 16 were there. There are at least 2 of each age except for the oldest. They always have a great time.
I took my 2nd son and my little nephew fishing the first night. They each had a bite but never got their fish in. I love to see the excitement when little kids get fish on their poles. I still love the excitement of a fish on my pole.

The next morning I took my oldest son fishing early, that is the best fishing. We didn't even get a bite after 2 hours of fishing he finally decided it would be okay to go back to the cabin. We saw a nice little 3 point deer on the way home.

Seeing all of the wildlife is so much fun about going up there. The deer are never scared of you. They will just look at you and go back to what they were doing. They know they won't be harmed in there since noone can hunt.

I of course forgot my camera at home. So no pictures. My two youngest kids had so much fun they both had dirt mustaches when we got home. That is when you know they had a good time.

Family Camping

This was the first year my parent's decided to do an official family camping weekend. My husband wasn't able to go since he was on call. I am not a fan of tent camping so we very rarely go. I decided not to bomb on my kids since they love to camp. They did not get that from me.

We drove up to Joe's Valley Friday morning to spend the night.
Our boat is not working so grandpa took us out on his. I didn't even pull my camera out except on the boat.

When we were growing up we spent a lot of time on the boat and we loved it. It was a lot of fun to have all of our kids out on the lake.
The kids just enjoyed running around trying to catch squirrels and roasting marshmallows in the night.
