What I Learned This Week

I learned my son has excercise induced asthma, but we got it taken care of before his hershey track meet today. He tried his hardest but he didn't place in his race.

I learned after taking care of my neighbor's 3 kids besides my own for several days I am definitely not cut out to be a mom of 6. Some days I wonder if I am cut out to be a mom of 3.

I have learned that I forgot how much I used to love to excercise before I had kids. We are going to start going to the track every night even though we are not training for my son's track meet anymore. We can all use the excercise.

I have learned it is harder to teach a girl to ride a bike than boys. If you say anything wrong to them they think you are yelling at them and start crying.

If you want to do this, Jo-Lynne at Musings of a Housewife does this every Tuesday.

What I Learned This Week

I have learned a few things. Not thinking, I took my 4 year old to the store with me Easter Bunny shopping. My husband wasn't home and it was the only time I could go. I bought all of the stuff for the easter baskets and didn't think anything of it.
We walked in the door and she told my boys, who are older. Mom is the Easter Bunny. I ruined the Easter Bunny for all 3 of my kids this week. Although my 9 year old was already past that point.

I also found out some people aren't who we thought they were. My husband's dad got remarried about 2 years ago. We thought we got along with the new wife just great but have discovered that she spent two days 3 blocks away from our house at her "real" grandkids house and never once called or even acknowledged my children. If only she realized how bad that made my children feel. Our grandpa was hunting with my husband and she wouldn't even stay at our house or come over. Anyone else ever had this happen?

This week is spring break for our kids. We are going to my mom's house. We get to go to goblin valley in south eastern Utah. We are also taking them to some sand dunes by their house. They are very excited. I think it will be fun. Pictures to come at the end of the week when we return.

What I Learned This Week

I have learned a few things this week. Some people might think I am crazy after reading this post.

I have suffered from depression since I had my 2nd child. My new neurologist recently changed my medicine. I have been on it for a few weeks now and just realized this week that my other medicine had not been working. I feel like I had been in a dream world looking in. I am finally feeling like my old self again.

After taking my kids toys away, they are quickly learning to pick up after themselves and my house is staying clean. You can read about it here.

Kids have to learn lessons the hard way.

JoLynne at Musings of a Housewife does this carnival every Tuesday if you want to join in.

What I Learned This Week

This week I have learned, just when I thought I got the hang of my bike, I fell off again. You can read the whole story here.
My kids can be very helpful if they want to be. Since I can't use my left hand, my house is cleaner than when I can do everything.
We only have one puppy left, I didn't realize it would be so hard letting them go.
We have implemented a new beans and rice discipline method. It is working pretty good. You can read about it here.
You can participate in this at musings of a housewife.

What I Learned This Week

First and foremost, I learned we are going to have a lot of broken hearts at our house when our puppies leave in the next few weeks. Probably the mom along with the kids. They have been a lot of fun.

Riding a road bike with your shoes attached to the pedals is not an easy thing. It is like having to relearn how to ride a bike. For the whole story click here.

We went to our neighbor's baptism on Saturday. It is amazing to see the changes that having the Gospel in a family can bring. The Spirit was very strong there. For those of you that don't know we belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I do not enjoy helping my children with projects from school they call simple machines. If my son invents it there is never anything simple about it. He has to make everything complicated.

If you want to play along or just want to post this you can go to Musings of Housewife. She does a carnival every Tuesday.
